SUPERINTENDENT OF THE VINTON COUNTY LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

POSITION: Vinton County Local School District Superintendent of Schools
QUALIFICATIONS: A current BCI/FBI check, valid superintendent’s license issued by the state of Ohio; a Master’s Degree with a major in educational administration; experience in teaching and administration totaling at least nine years; strong showing of educational leadership.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES: The Board seeks a chief executive officer of the Board of Education and administrative head of the district to continue to develop an educationally effective school district within a fiscally sound and legally correct business organization that provides its students and community with the best possible educational environment. The Superintendent shall strive to achieve district and Board of Education goals by providing educational direction and supervision to the professional staff and nonteaching staff and by acting as a proper model for staff and students both inside and outside the district. The Superintendent shall fulfill all duties imposed by law and included in Board policies and the job description now in effect and as adopted by the Board during his/her employment.
SALARY: Determined by the Board commensurate with qualifying experience.
