ACT Information 2025
Juniors who did not opt out of taking the ACT will test on the following days unless contacted by Mrs. Jones:
VCHS/Online/Alternative School
VCHS /Online/Alternative school students will test on February 25th in the gymnasium. They will need to have a fully charged Chromebook with them and an approved calculator if you do not want to use the one provided on the testing platform. No cell phones or smart watches are permitted. Students should have created an ACT student account prior to test date and completed the interest inventory and questionnaire. Testing will begin at 8:30 and will typically be completed by 12:45. Students are not permitted to work ahead so they will need to stay for the entire allotted time. Only students who turned in an opt out form will be excused from the test on test day.
BHCC
BHCC students will test on February 26th in the gymnasium. They will need to either use private transportation or ride the bus to VCHS on test day. A Chromebook will be provided since outside Chromebooks cannot be used for this test. No cell phones or smart watches will be permitted and students will be required to stay for the entirety of the test. Please be at the high school no later than 8:20 so that we can begin testing on time. No late entries can be tested. If a student used private transportation, they will be permitted to leave once the test window is closed (usually close to 12:45). Those who rode the bus will be placed in a study hall room until the busses leave at the end of the school day. Only Juniors with completed opt out forms on file will be excused from testing. If a student is testing with Mrs. Jones, she will let the student know when to test and where to report.
